Camera Shots In General And On Taggart And Shameless

Establishing shots can:
- Set the scene
- Let the audience know where the characters are
- Show contrast

Close-ups can:
- Show emotion of the characters
- Influence the audiences response

Mid-shots can:
- Show relationships between people

Zooming in can:
- Showing a scene how the character in the scene can see it
- Can allow theaudience to take in a number of details

Panning shots can:
-They allow audience to see things that they might not recognise until later on

Extreme Close-ups:
-Highlight key important parts for an audience so they can make links with what happens later

Two shots can:
-Establish relationships between characters

The camera shots that we have witnessed from both of these television programmes is that Taggarts style of camera shots is somehow more professional than that of Shameless. Where as Shameless is more presented as a Home video.

Connections of TV Dramas

Tv Dramas all seem to contain similar events, characters, settings, etc. The similar events are usually to do with death. Usually a character that is well favoured by the audience is usually killed off to upset the audience. Or endless murders are usually carried out by a villian which builds up suspense. There are different sets of characters to create the scene
